Is Vaultwarden the same as Bitwarden?: Vaultwarden is an unofficial, lightweight server implementation compatible with Bitwarden clients. It is not made by Bitwarden Inc. It supports the same browser extensions, mobile apps, and desktop clients as official Bitwarden, but uses far fewer server resources.
How much RAM does Vaultwarden need?: Vaultwarden is extremely lightweight — it runs comfortably on 64-128MB RAM with SQLite. This is dramatically less than the official Bitwarden server which requires 2GB+ RAM due to its .NET/SQL Server stack.
